It's totally ok to miss and grieve the loss of something you love, but continuously comparing Watcher to just BFU is tiring. Watcher is so much more than BFU, and if you guys would just simply read Watcher's company motto then you would know that.

So how about instead of living in 2018, you come and join us in 2024 and recognize that Shane Madej, Ryan Bergara, and especially Steven Lim are still fucking hilarious alongside the wonderful team at Watcher.

2: did you watch bfu or worth it before?

yes!! big buzzfeed unsolved true crime fan since way early. i remember watching the db cooper episode and laughing my ass off and immediately thinking that i had to see what these guys are up to. i always kept semi up to date on new seasons, but with the way buzzfeed is set up, i never actually knew when a new season was coming out, and i didnt really give a shit about what buzzfeed was doing at that point. i cared earlier, but by 2016/2018ish i moved on from the feed, besides them, the worth it boys, saf, and the try guys.

i do remember having some favorite buzzfeed videos, and when i went back to watch them after watching bfu and worth it i started recognizing that some of them were made/hosted by shane/ryan/steven and being really suprized that i had seen their work before

i never really joined the fandom either! (i was busy in the phandom)

also fun fact: when i started watching bfu (in middleschool) i didnt watch supernatural because i was scared and actually belived in ghosts. and now im a complete shaniac and get to easily watch ghost files and bfu supernatural

i watched worth it quite a bit too. back when the trending page was good, id look through it and worth it was basically always up there and was always a good watch. but again i had no clue when their seasons stopped and ended. so i probably havent seen everything. i had traveled around the states quite a bit, and had eaten a lot of local food, so it was fun to recognize a cuisine i had tried before. its nice to remember a vacation while watching a video from that location.

so my bias is shane because he is the most relateable to me. someone on pod watcher will ask a question and me and shane answer the exact same way. idk why, maybe because we're both chicago suburbanites who went to columbia? we both love the schaumburg mall? idk i guess we're just similar which is fun cus he just gets it. we love a creative, artistic, and funny guy

of course, steven and ryan are absolutely incredible. i love how steven will fully commit to a bit, its so funny, he's incredible. and ryan is the kind of guy im often inspired by, he has such great and funny ideas, how?

Last series: If youtube series count, I'm currently rewatching Buzzfeed Unsolved: True Crime for the 11th or so time XD I've loved true crime stuff for as long as I can remember and BFU is also just really nice as background noise for when I'm working on something for a few hours at a time. Looking forward to diving into Mystery Files xD (the last "actual" series I watched before that was "Better Call Saul", rewatched it from start to finish in English for the first time xD)

Craving: to quit my dayjob, because objectively, it would just be really fucking funny to do. We're chronically understaffed and simultaneously also being forbidden overtime to catch up on the backlog, so it's just extremely exhausting at the moment.

Tea or coffee: Coffee, but tea is nice too :3

Dream Trip: everywhere... but my top 3 are Japan, Iceland, and Canada. I'd love to go to Japan during cherry blossom season, spend one week in all the big cities and another more on the countryside, going hiking, looking at temples, forests, and spending a day or two at a ryokan with onsen. Iceland I'd also like to see as much of as possible, I'd actually love to do a guided tour on horseback across the country xD And honestly, same for Canada (without the horses though), also a trip across the country visiting all kinds of sights and cities along the way would be awesome.

Currently working on: the final stages of my new Kerry x V drawing, editing some VP shoots, writing Vince's background lore fic (6 chapters done, about 6 more to go!), started writing a post-canon fic (but only have a few paragraphs), and my ongoing Cyberpunk 2077 Let's Play videos XD cause I always wanted to make a full Let's Play like that and given my current obsession it works. Looming on the horizon are also some short comics and ideas for mods and even more VP!

After an OC of mine, if we go with Elven as the name I'm predominantly using atm XD Long story short, but "Elvenbeard" was an elf OC I once cosplayed as and who got his name from a friend of mine during a very long and funny train ride to the convention we were headed to. Good times XD

A couple of days ago. I think it was a mix of stress and having too many feels about Kerry xD

Nope, and don't want any. Unless pets count.

None xD I was the short fat kid that got relentlessly bullied by my PE teacher for years which completed ruined any interest in sports I might have ever developed.

Honestly... I think I've gotten quite good at picking up people's vibes first. Picked up a very bad "stay-far-away-from-them" vibe from someone a couple of days ago, and when I met them again a little while later one of the first things out of their mouth is transphobic bullshit. I (sadly) felt rather validated with my first impression.

8. Scary Movies or Happy Endings?

Both can be good! I don't like overly gory movies or stuff that relies heavily on jump scares, but a scary film with a good story and some unexpected twists I really like (some of my faves being "Hush" and "The Conjuring"). I'm also a sucker for Happy Endings though. Best thing overall? Angst with a Happy Ending.

Yes... Drawing, writing, sewing, crafting, cosplay, gaming... and the newest addition: virtual photography!

Creating things that make people happy and being able to live off of it ooooor anything that allows me to finance that kinda "maker of all kinds of things" lifestyle I'm dreaming of. Ideally, if I have to keep a dayjob, I'd like one that only takes place in the timespan of Monday to Thursday, or Tuesday to Friday, and doesn't start at 5.30 in the morning, but at 9 or 10. Or just generally the option of home office would be nice. I don't wanna be rich, but I'd like to have financial security for myself and my cat, enough time to do my silly little arts and crafts, and travel somewhere cool once a year or so.

its funny when people talk about henry the eighth’s wives as classic british history that everyone learnt as a kid because?? i had a tudor topic in primary school and don’t think i ever learnt that?

i’d heard the “divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived” rhyme at some point outside of that but didn’t even know which king it was in relation to

there was also a time in year 8 history where anne boleyn was mentioned in relation to something else and everyone was like “oh! anne boleyn!” and i was just... “who???”

funnily enough, i remember learning about catherine of aragon’s and anne boleyn’s daughters mary the first and elizabeth the first, and when listening to six for probably the sixtieth time it clicked that “oh! baby mary was THAT mary!” and suddenly the rivalry between them made a lot of sense 

mary the first (also known as ‘bloody mary’) and elizabeth the first (the one the whole elizabethan era is named after, pretty big deal) both had claims to the thrown due to being henry the eighth’s daughters and older then their brother edward the sixth (who died at 15 anyway after being crowned at age 9, poor thing)

mary was the oldest, but her position as princess was taken away when the marriage between catherine of aragon (her mother) and henry was annulled by henry himself, since he was mad that she wasn’t going to be able to provide him with a male heir. he made a bunch of excuses for why their 24 year marriage shouldn’t technically count, because she was meant to marry his brother arthur before he died and apparently that goes against something in the bible. the pope didn’t agree with him and wouldn’t annul the marriage, so henry basically went “fuck it” and started the church of england so he wouldn’t have to follow what the pope says

this allowed him to marry anne boleyn who he had been courting for years prior, although she apparently wasn’t won over easily. regardless they got married,  had baby elizabeth and mary’s position as princess/heir to the throne was given to her. when she was only 2 years old henry got bored of anne and her lack of a son just like catherine, but instead of just divorcing this time he accused her of treason and had her beheaded. what a nice guy /s

so this left mary a catholic like her mother who opposed the church of england which lead to the two of them being cast aside, and elizabeth a protestant in the church of england, and both of them believing they should be queen. this was the part i learnt about in history, the religious rivalry between catholics and protestants (which some people think the war between houses in ‘romeo and juliet’ is an allegory for, learnt this bit in gcse english) and how these two sisters can be seen as symbols of each side

it was just really cool to get more context for it having listened to six and looking into it more thanks to that!
